Making Space for Stillness

Hey everyone,

Do you have a minute? Oh…wait let’s check our calendars.. maybe a week from Tuesday at 2pm?

In the noise and busyness of life, it can be easy to neglect the most important relationship we have—our relationship with God. But Scripture reminds us that it is in the stillness we often hear Him most clearly.

Psalm 46:10 says,

“Be still, and know that I am God.”

Quiet time isn’t just about silence; it’s about intentionally setting aside distractions to connect with the One who gives us strength, peace, and direction. Jesus Himself often withdrew to quiet places to pray (Luke 5:16).

Think about this next statement for a moment :

If the Son of God needed that time alone with the Father, how much more do we?

Quiet time allows us to read His Word, reflect, pray, and listen for His voice. This part is really important so listen up ….quiet time with God Is where our faith is renewed, our minds are calmed, and our hearts are aligned with His will.

As men striving to live Godly lives, we must guard this time and make it a daily priority. It’s in those quiet moments with God that we are shaped, strengthened, and reminded of who we are in Him.

Let’s plan on making space for stillness—God meets us there.
