A Cheerful Heart Is Good Medicine
I have a question for you today…
When was the last time you laughed, really laughed and had some real fun?
You know, God wants us to laugh and enjoy this time he has given us. God did not create life to be heavy, joyless, or burdened every moment.
Throughout Scripture, we see that joy is a gift from God, and laughter is one of the ways He refreshes our hearts. Sooooo….What does the Bible say about this??
The Bible says,
“A cheerful heart is good medicine” (Proverbs 17:22).
That means God designed joy to strengthen us, heal us, and lift our spirits.
Laughter isn’t unspiritual—it’s healthy for the soul.
Ecclesiastes 3:4 reminds us there is “a time to laugh” and “a time to dance.” God knows we need moments of fun and celebration…. right?
When we are having fun and joyful, it remind us of His goodness and help us enjoy the blessings He has placed in our lives. Real joy comes from walking with Him, but God also delights when we enjoy the life He’s given us Including family, friendships, laughter, and the simple pleasures of each day. Guys laugh freely, kid around, make pleasant jokes, make your kids and your wife laugh, poke at your buddies!
Enjoy moments of fun! Let your joy be a reflection of the God who created it. Here is something to think about:
When you laugh, you honor the One who made your heart capable of joy in the first place.
