Honor God Inside and Out: Keeping Your Mind and Body Holy

As I have been recovering from this spinal surgery it has brought more focus for me of the importance of keeping not only our minds pure holy and healthy but also our bodies.

We owe this to God and to the people around us to appreciate this magnificent machine God gave us as he describes as a temple to honor him. In adding to our amazing minds that have continued to upstage even the most sophisticated computers throughout history

The Bible reminds us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19–20). This means that God’s Spirit lives within us, and we are called to honor Him with both our bodies and our minds.

Keeping our bodies healthy through good eating habits, exercise, and rest is best way we show gratitude for the life He’s given us. Just as we care for a sacred place, we should care for ourselves. In the same way, God calls us to keep our minds pure and focused on what is good, true, and holy (Philippians 4:8).

Filling our thoughts with His Word and avoiding things that pull us away from His peace helps us stay spiritually strong.

When we keep our bodies in shape and feed it with healthy foods and by keeping our minds pure, demonstrates to God and others that we reflect God’s glory and show that we belong to Him—inside and out.

Make a new commitment today to Honor God with a strong body, strong mind, strong faith!!
