BERNIE’S DREAM
The Dangers of Communism, Socialism, and Radical Islam
In a few short weeks there will be a midterm election, perhaps the most important one of our lifetimes. The choices are Freedom or Communism and a Free Market that benefits all; or socialism, which rewards people who are too unmotivated to work but want money from those who do. This is no longer simply a threat. Now, it is a reality as the Democratic Socialists of America openly declare their intention to destroy the ideals that made America the greatest country on earth. Now, the Democrat Party has become one with the DSA.
I often call it “Bernie’s Dream” (Democratic Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders). The dream includes no prisons, no police, no borders, Medicare for all including illegal aliens, men playing in women’s sports, sex change operations for minors, abortion up until the time of birth, antisemitism and an intolerance for biblical Christianity. “Bernie’s Dream” also involves pro-terrorism, the promotion of the LGBTQ agenda, non-citizens having the same rights as Americans, rewarding the lazy while punishing those who have worked diligently, and a platform for anyone’s opinion to become truth.
I am not suggesting the Republicans have all the answers. They have not been able to accomplish real change, although they control the House, Senate, and Executive Branches. However, when you consider the platform of the Democrat party, true Christians holding a biblical worldview have no choice. Voting Democrat is voting to destroy America.
That means Christians must take seriously what is happening before our very eyes. We must pray, fast, speak up, and speak out in love and in truth and we must vote! We need to pray for a victorious end to war in Iran ensuring they never have nuclear weapons, and we must take seriously the threat of radical Islam in every county and city in America, even your city.
Our times remind me of when, in 1962, Madelyn Murray O’Hair effectively removed prayer from the public schools with disastrous consequences for our children and our country that continues to this day. Christians didn’t want to rock the boat or offend anyone, and they stayed on the sidelines, being nice while evil got a stronghold that remains.
We are remembering the 25th anniversary of the atrocities of 9/11. Those who brought down the Twin Towers in NYC, attacked the Pentagon, and attempted to attack the White House or Capitol are now leading the city of New York. How soon we forget.
Let me remind you that socialism and communism have never in history worked, ever. Why would it now work in America? Simply put, it will not! I suggest that those in the Democrat Socialists of America move to Cuba, China, North Korea, Russia, or even Iran. But no, they want to bring that way of life to America because of their hatred for this country. Don’t they know that this is going to impact them too, that they will suffer the consequences as well? As Paul said in II Corinthians 4:4,
“Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe.”
The same radical Islam that kills gays and harbors hatred for women has now found favor in the Democrat Party, who touts their commitment to LGBTQ rights and women’s rights. Paul said it best in II Corinthians 6:14-15:
14 “Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? 15 What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever?”
Radical Islam and communism, unlikely partners, seem to have adopted the mantra of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” The enemy, of course, is the United States of America, the grand prize.
I believe the reason the Unites States is not referred to in Scripture or biblical prophecy is because our country will become irrelevant. Why? Because socialism, communism, and radical Islam will destroy the superpower of our country, making it nonviable. Our voice in the world will become unimportant because Christians refused to stand. Believer, this is your time to stand and publicly declare, “Not on my watch!” Pray, Fast, Speak Up, and Vote!
