Keep Your Word
If you give your word, keep it!
Throughout our lives we will have situations that may be difficult. Things we have to do that we may not like. We may need to borrow money, or have responsibilities to fulfill, paying our bills on time or just being on time. Standing by what we have said or doing what is right.
God tells us to pay what we owe. Keep our word. Fulfill our obligations. Do not lie, cheat, manipulate, or take advantage of anyone.
“The wicked borrow but does not pay back, but the righteous is generous and gives” (Psalm 37:21).
The Word of God commands us: “Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another” (Romans 13:8).
If you give your word, keep it! If you owe someone, pay them back! If you have wronged someone, make it right!
Be men of integrity, discipline, courage and humility.
Take responsibility and have self-control.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord” (Colossians 3:23).
Do not live by excuses. Do not compromise your character for money, pride, or convenience.
Fear God, Obey His Word. Walk uprightly and always do the right thing!!!
Let your word be trustworthy, your hands be clean, and most importantly, let your life bring honor to God.
