Trusting God’s Direction in Every Decision
Each day we are faced with choices and decisions and we know Life is full of decisions—some small, some life-changing.
However what we fail to realize is every choice shapes the path we walk. That being said, it is critical we make wise choices. The Bible reminds us that wisdom doesn’t come from our own understanding, but from seeking God’s direction. Proverbs 3:5–6 teaches,
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
True wisdom begins when we trust God more than our own instincts. James 1:5 also encourages us,
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault.”
Here is an important point to consider…God promises to guide those who sincerely seek His will. Every decision—big or small—should be filtered through prayer, God’s Word, and wise counsel. When we slow down, listen, and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us, we make choices that bring peace, purpose, and honor to God.
This week let’s try to begin making a habit before making any important decision to take time to pray and ask,
“Lord, what would You have me do?”
Then wait for His wisdom to lead the way.
