Sharing Christ with a Muslim

“7  For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.  8  Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward.  9  Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son.  10  If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting; 11  for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds.”

II John 1:7-11

How can we communicate the gospel to Muslims? Here are 8 truths:

1. Remember, no one comes to Christ at the end of an argument.

2. Build a relationship with a Muslim and demonstrate true Christianity to him or her.

They must see Christianity before they will be interested in hearing about Christianity.

3. Ask them to pray that God will give them a dream.

Many Muslims are coming to Christ through dreams about Jesus. Studies suggest that approximately 25% to 40% of Muslim converts to Christianity. report experiencing dreams or visions of Jesus Christ, which often act as a catalyst for their conversion.

4. Pray and ask God to soften the Muslim’s heart about Jesus.

Pray for a divine appointment with a Muslim. Pray they would ask you about your faith. Never underestimate the power of prayer.

5. Ask the Muslim what he/she thinks about God, Jesus, and the Bible.

John 1:1-2

John 1:14

Ask them if their god, Allah, loves them.

6. Speak of God’s unconditional love.

This is foreign to the teachings of Islam—God’s unconditional love.

Ephesians 2:4-5

Psalm 86:15

John 3:16

Romans 5:8

Psalm 147:3

Psalm 103:8

1 John 4:19

Isaiah 53:5

Psalm 103:13

Lamentations 3:22-23

7. Encourage the Muslim to read the Bible— all of it.

Since Muslims believe the Bible is

Corrupted, ask the question, “What parts are corrupted?” “Chapter and Verse Me.”

8. Never discount the power of sharing your testimony.

Remember, you plant the seed. It is the Holy Spirit that takes it from there.
