The First Time Shame on Macklemore, the Second Time, Shame on Ed Sheeran
Are the times gone where we can simply attend a concert (for which we pay a lot of money) without getting a lecture from a woke entertainer? Don’t you just want to say, “Shut Up and Sing?” Keep your ‘Free Palestine,” “LGBTQIA+ rights,” “I hate Trump,” and “Promote Trans,” nonsense out of the concerts that hard-working people pay to see.
I like Ed Sheeran’s music, but I don’t like his silence when an opening act hi-jacked his concert with trash talk.
Macklemore at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, owned by a Jewish man, Robert Kraft, started ranting “Free Palestine” as he came on stage. Macklemore is a known antisemite. He hates Israel and Jews. It wreaks from his very soul; he vomits hatred for Israel at every opportunity.
Robert Kraft said, “Enough of this!” God bless him.
He got Macklemore booted from the Ed Sheeran: Loop Tour along with other owners of large venues where Ed Sheeran would perform. Hooray! The other opening acts left the tour in protest of what Robert Kraft had the guts to do.
So, what if these weenies leave? It’s Ed Sheeran people pay to see not the lightweights like Macklemore, Finneas O'Connell, Lukas Graham, Beoga and Aaron Rowe.
But here is the real story.
The first time Macklemore did his hate-Israel rant that was on him. He was responsible. But when he came back and did it the second night, that was on Ed Sheeran.
He should have stood up to this nonsense, told him to “Shut up and sing” and be done with the ranting. Instead, Sheeran remained silent until he had to do something.
Shame on Macklemore, shame on Ed Sheeran, and God bless Robert Kraft and the other owners of stadiums who stood on their convictions and announced, “Not on our watch!”
