What Is God Willing to Forgive?
What am I still carrying that God is willing to forgive?
Men, Let’s Be Honest…Especially With God!
As men, we can sometimes feel like we have to carry everything ourselves. Like our mistakes, our failures, our anger, our regrets, and the things we wish we had handled differently.
But you know God never asked us to pretend we have it all together.
If we have sinned, hurt someone, acted out of anger, made the wrong choice, or simply know in our hearts that we have fallen short; the best thing we can do is to go to God First and ask for forgiveness.
We don’t have to hide from Him or anyone else for that matter. And we certainly don’t need to just keep making excuses. We can come to Him honestly, humble ourselves, confess what we’ve done, and ask Him to forgive us.
As a result, there is freedom. God’s forgiveness means we don’t have to remain prisoners of our guilt and we can let go of our past.
We can learn from our mistakes without allowing them to define us. We can put down the guilt, receive His grace, and move forward as better men.
By the way, Real strength isn’t pretending we never mess up. Real strength is having the humility to admit when we’re wrong. To seek God’s forgiveness, make things right when we can, and keep moving forward.
So guys, don’t carry what God is willing to forgive.
Ask Him. Trust Him. Receive His Forgiveness.
Then Walk in Freedom.
