How to Grow Your Faith as a Christian Man

Today’s thoughts are about faith. We all say we have faith and believe we are faithful …..but are we really?

One big question that comes to mind is ….how can we grow our faith?? Growing our faith in God is not something that happens by accident—it happens through intentional steps of trust and obedience. The Bible tells us that “faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ” (Romans 10:17).

So guys, When we spend time in Scripture, prayer, and quiet moments with Him, our confidence in His character grows and so does our faith! (read that sentence several times) You’re probably wondering though…

What is true faith?

True faith means believing God even when circumstances don’t make sense.

Hebrews reminds us that “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).

Real faith is not just saying we trust Him—it’s choosing to rely on Him when we feel uncertain, tested, or stretched.

Here are some practical ways we can increase our faith:    

•    Reading God’s Word daily — letting His promises shape our thoughts.

•    Praying honestly — bringing our worries, fears, and hopes to Him.  

•    Obeying His guidance — even in small things, because obedience builds trust.     

•    Remembering His past faithfulness reminding ourselves how He has provided before.     

•    Surrounding ourselves with believers because faith grows in community. James teaches that true faith is shown in how we live: “faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead” (James 2:17).

Real faith transforms our actions, our attitudes, and the way we respond to trials.
