POPE APPEASER
Pope Leo has interjected himself into the world of politics by weighing in on the war to liberate Iran from the evil radical Islamists that are hell-bent on destroying America and Israel.
Does any sensible person doubt that Iran, the number one state sponsor of terrorism, would attempt to nuke Israel and the U.S.A. if they had the means? Far too long Iran has gotten its way because of appeasement politicians and leaders. Someone said Iran never won a war and never lost a negotiation. The pope is demonstrating his left-wing bias by lecturing and criticizing our president on this issue rebuking him for his attempting to ensure Iran never gets a nuclear weapon.
Now, I have many wonderful Catholic friends and I love them, but I simply must call out Pope Leo on this issue. He prefers and embraces appeasement at any cost. However, Iran mocks and ridicules appeasers like Barak Obama, Joe Biden and now the pope. The pontiff appears to be equating the Gospel of Jesus Christ with appeasement with evil in this case radical Islam. The same Jesus that said, “Blessed are the peacemakers,” is the same Jesus that said, “Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but asword.” (Matthew 10:34).
There is a time for peace and there is a time for the sword, defeating evil. Iran doesn’t know the old song “Kumbaya” which seems to be the pope’s position. Evil mocks such foolishness.
The pontiff seems to be weak when it’s strength that is called for. Pope Leo commented in a post on X:
“God does not bless any conflict. Anyone who is a disciple of Christ, the Prince of Peace, is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs. Military action will not create space for freedom or times of peace, which comes only from the patient promotion of coexistence and dialog among peoples.”
It sounds like the Pope is guilty of “Cafeteria Christianity,” choosing what he wants to believe and leaving the hard things of confronting evil alone. Pope Leo there is a time for confrontation of evil and not live in a bubble of “Can’t we just all get along?”
I challenge the Pope to explain why he never once condemned the atrocities of the slaughter of over 1200 Jews on October 7, 2023, and the taking of 250 hostages. He was blatantly silent. When has the pope spoken out against antisemitism? When has he condemned the criminal illegal aliens that were allowed under the Biden Administration that are responsible for rapes, murders, and other forms of violence? Did he condemn the atrocities of Venezuela under Maduro which the U.S.A. addressed? Did the pope condemn Hamas, Hezbollah, or the Houthis and their slaughtering of innocent people? I could give many examples of his weakness concerning evil. The pope’s spine has a yellow stripe down his back, fearful of confronting evil.
Do I agree with everything President Trump says or does? No, I do not, but I love our president and his policies. I believe he is doing the right thing. Pope Leo would do well to be consistent in his condemnations rather than hiding behind a gospel that suggests appeasement of evil. Pope Appeaser, please call out evil instead of placating it.
